Kristi & Bart's Backyard Wedding - August 2019
When Kristi contacted us to provide pizza for her and Bart’s celebration this Summer, we knew right away that it was a great fit. Kristi’s adventurous and lighthearted yet intentional spirit came through in her initial communication. She is working on a PhD in cultural anthropology studying the emerging sciences of plant consciousness. We connected on a deep love for plants, earth, and food as medicine.
Kristi and Bart planned for a backyard gathering, mindfully designed for the couple to worship one another, the land we stand on, their community and nourishing foods. We are honored they invited us to share our sourdough woodfired pizzas and vibrant salads with them. A buffet of five artisan pizzas ranging from Bison Pepperoni to our ‘Vegan Delight’ along with three flavorful salads with ingredients from Cosmic Apple Gardens, Full Circle Farm, Alpenglow Farm, and Winter Winds Farm served as delicious dining– connecting guests to our Teton soil. Our rustic oven contributed to the mountain centered and wholesome atmosphere of the event.
As the photos below show, the ceremony was a day to remember. The setting in Kelly, Wyoming was serene. The Grand Tetons served as a stunning backdrop complementing the simple yet tasteful decorations of the celebration. Kristi picked out flowers at the Jackson Hole Farmers market the morning of her wedding, and the couple’s community of 75 friends and family from near and far assisted with set up and breakdown. Kristi’s hair was done by Sam of Greta & Haakon Salon in Wilson, her dress is vintage. Her shoes are Bryr clogs. Our culinary contributions were paired with beer and wine, vegan hand held desserts crafted by Ariel Mann, and cashew cheesecakes from Healthy Being Juicery. The phenomenal photographs are by Peter Lobozzo.
